Does firewall work on non-nat network? was created by varcarme

I am using a Vigor 2820 in non-NAT mode. Does the firewall on the Vigor work in non-NAT mode? I have a mail server working behind the router with a public IP. Can I configure the Vigor to only allow traffic on port 25 to pass through to the mail server or does the firewall only work with NAT traffic?
