3G with Vigor 2910VG was created by natty575
Hi,
I have a query regarding the 2910VG and using the 3G option, does anyone use this as the only means of connecting to the internet?
On the Draytek website it states:
"The 3G connection can be used as your primary/only Internet access, or as backup to your main ADSL line connection. "
but i have been advised the following:
"the inclusion of the 3G option is actually designed or intended to be utilised as a backup option to a standard wired connection (DSL/Cable etc).â€
Has anyone suffered any issues when just using 3G?
Thanks

I think it should work fine as the only means; just don't enable WAN1, although if it was enabled the router would see it as permanently unavailable anyway. I've used a V2910VG for 3G only access successfully (on a bus).
