Thinking of splashing out on a 2820Vn -any problems with it? was created by jason404
Have any 2820 users here experienced any problems with this model?
Can it cope with many connections, and does not need to be rebooted every few days, or anything like that?
Any problems with features such as VPN and QoS? Does the QoS feature work well?
Is it quite future-proof, with regards to what ADSL technologies might be coming up in the next few years?
I want to get a 2820Vn, but I do not want to to regret my purchase, after having spent so much.

Hi,
Funnily enough, i just bought my second today.
Run the latest release candidate and it works fine.
- I run VPN to a Cisco box in the office and it is rock solid.
High uptime on the internet connection.
- WiFi works well.
I don't use QOS.
Regards
Paul

Mine works ok apart from DHCP over wifi. I had to give up in the end and use a local Linux server as my DHCP server as the 2820 was completely unreliable for that task.

Stick on 3.3.2_RC5 firmware.
- It defintely fixes that....
On another note, I'm not convinced that the printing in USB mode is that stable. I chucked my USB and bought a network printer.
