Workaround company subnet on 192.168.1.x cannot be changed was created by russt93
Hi, I could REALLY do with some help on this. We have muliple users that connect to a citrix server and/or some random machines. They use VPNs connections and if they are using a router at home on the same subnet (192.168.1.x) they cannot connect to the citrix server or connect to any network resources etc etc?
Anybody know any way around this? At the moment we have to keep changing the subnets of the home users routers which is a real pain! We CANNOT change the subnet at their workplace as they would be too much to change and too much down time.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Well, while I appreciate you're not going to like my answer...
...someone made a bad, bad, call when they set up the workplace subnet on 192.168.1.x. Doing anything other than changing that to something sensible (avoid 192.168.0.x, 192.168.1.x and 192.168.2.x at the very least) will be treating the symptoms rather than the cause. I'd suggest you bite the bullet and fix the cause instead, otherwise you're going to face problems for good.

Also avoid 192.168.100.x (cable modems) and 192.168.10.x. I would suggest going up to the 172..... range.
