Vigor 2710N Printer Sharing ! was created by technojunkie
Has anybody tried using the USB port of the 2710N for printer sharing ?
I tried to set-up the 2710N as a print server this morning following the user manual instructions implicitly but I could not get it to work.
I've therefore gone back to using Windows Print Sharing on my PC.

Same problem with same router installed within past two weeks.
WinXP setup SEEMS OK with a new IP port.

I've still not found a solution to this problem and continue to use WinXP print sharing.

I asked Draytek support and the response email did not offer an instant solution, but did mention the LPR Queue.
Well I have never fiddled with this stuff and do not understand it. So, to Google, and one entry mentioned the LPR Queue Name of 'Local' when network printing.
I tried that. The test page printed OK, but listed the Data Format as RAW.
A Word doc prints OK.
A web page prints gobbledegook.
Its a start !

Thanks for the link mazura76.
Once again I followed the Draytek instructions implicitly but again had no success in making it work. All I got was the "printer not responding message" !
Very frustrating.
