Hi, is anyone else experiencing a slow down with the 2820 unit after applying the latest firmware release v3.3.2.1_232201?

On rebooting the router, accessing the administration pages is near instantaneous. Over the period of a day or two, accessing the admin pages takes a good 10-20 seconds to load each time. Again, rebooting the router resolves the problem temporarily.

Not seen this behaviour on my 2820, seems pretty solid with this firmware.

Sorry, noticed you are referring to firmware 3.3.2.1 (not my 3.3.1.2)

Yes - I applied this firmware to resolve my DHCP issues (which it did) but over 10 - 12 hours from a boot it will gradually slow down. It can end up with a downstream rate around 256k or even stop altogether (even though the reported status appears OK). A reboot will instantly take it back to the prevailing rate for the time of day - which can be pretty average given VM ADSL performance. May have to go back to 3.2.1 (which was fine in sustained speed terms) and fix the IPs of the offending devices as irritating as that is.

Any one else seeing anything like this - or have I gone wrong somewhere?

Do you know what modem version you were using for the previous firmware? It could be that your 3.2.1 had a different modem code to 3.3.2.1. The UK default for 3.3.2.1 is 232201 but it might be that the previous firmware you used had a different modem version.

Maybe your line conditions are better with the older modem code. There are different modem versions available for download via the ftp site. From memory I think the older modem code was 222801 .

I'm sure if you contact support that they'd be able to assist.

Interesting point Macavity. I'm using Safari on my Mac and thats where the problems are exhibited. Switching to IE on a PC and it all seems fine. Quite odd how the Safari version slows down over time.

Also, I noticed running in IE8 that there are various error messages generated:
