Any Draytek / SEG hardware support guys reading? was created by clunesy
I am the proud new owner of a 2nd-hand Vigor 2820n, which I enjoyed setting up but have so far not been able to use because.....
When I set it up by the phone line, a family member who shall remain nameless plugged in the wrong DC adapter (18v one from Speedtouch 585v6), instead of the supplied 15v unit. Now it just flickers and is generally not at all happy. Oh sh1t.
Can I get some hardware support ? Hoping the board / DC supply circuit can be repaired for less than I paid for it (£100)
please help !!

They are generally not economically reparairable; the PCBAs are 'one piece' and surface mouted so repair is a very specialist job which has to be done back in the factory, so it all gets a bit expensive.. you can ask them though.
