Firmware Upgrade Problem was created by murray
Guys
I was performing a firmware upgrade on my 2820n and before the process had confirmed completion of the upgrade my router rebooted.
I have tried to perform a factory reset but this does not seem to be working either.
Can anyone suggest a way of recovering this situation or do I now have a pretty white brick!!

Hi,
had similar issue.
Make sure you are connected by cable not wireless. Get the firmware upgrade utility ready with all bits filled in. Might be good idea to use a *.rst file to clear all rubbish out. Power router off and back on while pressing the factory reset button. When 3 lights are on on left side of the status LED's and the LAN connections are flasing start the upgrade again.
Sorted it for me.
regards

Rob
Thanks for this.
I managed to get the new firmware loaded using TFTP tool much as you said full reset and get connected quickly before the router went to restart sequence again.
I think the lesson from this is to ensure there is nothing running on your PC that can interfere or disrupt an upgrade.
