Ideas re dropouts on 2910G was created by inlandcomputers
Hello Everyone,
I've been using a Vigor 2910G for the past 18 months along with a Huawei E220 on Vodafone 3G.
All dialup settings are at default and vigor firmware is 3.2.1. Vodafone dongle is set to 3G only and auto-connect.
During the past 3 weeks, I've been finding that as soon as the RX rate (on the vigor status screen) drops low to 6 or 7, the connection will not initiate again unless I drop the connection and dialup again from within the Vigor status screen. This does the trick for about 5 mins and then it's back again to drop and dialup - very annoying.
I have found the connection to be much better during the morning, but after 2pm it starts playing up for the rest of the day.
I'm unsure as to exactly where the problem lies - the router ? the dongle ? or is it a problem at Vodafone's mast ?
All suggestions and help much appreciated.

If it's time related then it's more likely to be related to the provider. I guess using it with a PC as a test would proof the theory.
