Setting up Vigor2820 for BT Help! was created by rax0983
Hi I have a Vigor 2820 and am having problems setting it up to work for BT
Please could someone go through the ADSL settings to make it connect to the internet because I've not had much luck myself!:?
If you could I would be very grateful!
Thanks,
Rax0

WE also have a BT connection through a 2820n
These are our settings and we connected straight away.
From the Menu choose:
WAN ==> Internet Access
PPPoE/PPPoA ==> Enable
DSL Modem Settings:
Multi-PVC channel = Channel 1
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
Encapsulating Type = VC MUX
Protocol = PPPoA
Modulation Multimode
ISP Access Setup:
Username = (supplied by BT)
Password = (supplied by BT)
PPP Authentication = PAP or CHAP
IP Address from ISP
Fixed IP = Choose Dynamic even if you have a fixed IP
(I found this out from the Draytrek Connection Support line - Free)
Like you I have just signed up to BT and connected just before Christmas. Everything still running smoothly.
Good Luck
