2600vg - cannot connect a new laptop with windows 7 was created by h9999
I have had no problems with this router in all the years I have had it - I have 2 vista laptops connected no problem. Problem only when I try connect a new laptop with windows 7 - getting nowhere with it.
Just wondering whether it is just a compatibility issue???

Are you connecting using wireless then?
There is a telnet command you can do on the router which might help with making it more compatible, the command requires the latest firmware for the 2600vg:
wl wpa 3
That turns off WPA2 support on it, updating the firmware might also cure it.
