3300V / 110 and a Bethere connection - how to? was created by juleswilko
Hello,
Had a search around and I can't seem to find anything to guide me on setting up a Bethere connection (with static IP address) with a Draytek 3300V.
I've got 110 Modem (or a 100 Modem that I need to firmware upgrade).
But how do I get the connection to connect?
3300V is on the latest firmware...
Regards
Jules

With that setup, you'd need to enable MPoA on the Vigor 110, make sure that it's got these settings:
Encapsulation: 1483 Bridged IP LLC
VPI: 0
VCI: 101
Modulation: Multimode
That's all you'd need to set on that - on the 3300, you'd set up the connection as a static address, entering the IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS addresses as supplied by Be.
After that - once the Vigor 110 is connected on the ADSL side, you should be able to access the net using that.

Heya there Voodle,
thanks for that... And that's what I guessed with regard to a setup, but oddly it only worked intermittently.
The 3300V would register the connection as connected and disconnected (even though the sync on the 110 seemed to remain solid).
Odd...

That's definitely odd, have you tried changing the connection detection parameters on the 3300 to see if that makes a difference to connection stability. Maybe try ping detect instead?

yeah, I've gone to ping the gateway address given to me by Be...
And the ARP detection...
I've firmwared the two to the latest and greatest and I am having a fiddle about...
I've had to drop in a Draytek 2820 using Be on WAN1 and "regular" DSL on WAN2 in temporarily and play with the 3300V again later...
