2110Vn Bandwidth Management was created by rossco555
Hi all...I have been trying unsuccessfully to bandwith limit an IP address by firstly binding the MAC address to the IP address. I then go into Bandwidth Management & input the start & End IP addresses (the same).
Whilst it appears to set the criteria OK, it just does'nt make a jot of difference to actual speeds on the IP address concerned.
Firmware is up to date (3.3.2) & running out of ideas fast!
Can anyone advise if there is anything additional that requires doing to activate please?
Routers other than the 2110 use a similar system, & i would be interested in how other owners/users get on, if this feature is used.
Many thanks...

The TX limit was set to 256 Kbps and the RX limit was set at 1024 Kbps, and the router re-booted and the values saved to ensure everything OK. I then cleared the cache and did a speedtest to check. The check showed no differences at all.

Well I can confirm the identical problem on my 2110vn and to me it seems it's a bug in the firmware, but I'm not sure. See my posting

.
Do you also have an identical bahviour in the data flow monitor?

Yep..I too have a problem with the Data Flow Monitor, which gives you the ability to block users, and thats about it at the moment. As you say its probably crappy firmware. This is probably approaching an old product in Draytek terms, so it makes me wonder how long the updates will be around!!! (Only kidding)
Regards...Rossco
ps.Just noticed version 3.3.2.3 on the International FTP site, which deals with VOIP issues on PSTN calls
