Vigor 2900 & Virgin Media 20MB service - only getting 10

The modem is a small black virgin branded device with a model number of E08C013.00 on the bottom.
With all computers on the home network switched off other than the one PC I am using for testing. I set the 2900 to half duplex and I'm now getting speeds of around 13-14MB fromwww.speedtest.net , however I'm getting 19-20 on the same site when using the Linksys.
Very annoying! I can't beleive that the 2900 can't handle 20MB Internet!

Sounds like you need a new router as already posted the Max throughput is 15mb.
Classic case of not checking the specs before update. A lot of people will fall for this when faster broadband become available.
You need to be looking at the 2820 series at least.

Actually I did try but the information was not easy to find - infact I still haven't found it!! I only know it is 16MB as someone posted here.
I saw the WAN had 10 or 100 through put so assumed it would run at 100 or at least something around that!?!?! ggggrrrrr.
