Syslog + Vigor 3300v+ Series was created by petershelley
Morning,

We have a Vigor 3300v+ with firmware 2.6.1.0 (EN), on a Windows Server 2003 box we have installed the Syslog (4.2.1) application and the PRTG Network Monitor from Paessler.

PRTG is working great to monitor the bandwidth on the WAN ports but we have an issue with Syslog.

Syslog - The user access log is displaying Local User <IP> -> <IP><Protocol>. But it's not recording it to either the database or the realtime log file. I can 'save the current log' however. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

What we are trying to achieve is a log (in a nice format) of the bandwidth used (PRTG is working for this) and what sites people have accessed.

Or does anyone have a more efficient method for the doing this ? that doesn't require to many changes to the network or cost the earth (few hundred notes would be ok).

Thanks

Peter
