Automatic power cycling? was created by ergolargo
Hi there

I've had a Vigor 2800 VG for a few years, and something that has always seemed to affect the server that is connected to the router are errors from the NIC connected to it: I get a 'Port A is down' error periodically from this on-board Marvell Yukon NIC, a couple of times a day, but then shortly afterwards the NIC seems to recover by itself. I gather that is usually due to automatic power cycling by the router, i.e., it is rebooting itself - is this normal, or does it indicate some sort of configuration or traffic throughput issue?

Thanks for any advice!
