Mail Alert Setup

Sending mail alerts form my router (Vigor 2710Vn) and I get this message.

The SMTP Server is error. I am using smtp.idnet.net.
I am with IDnet smtp.idnet.net works ok with outlook 2007.

Can anyone help?

the mail server has to be an IP address I think, so from the command line do a ping of idnet's SMTP server and use that address for the SMTP setting.
