3 Network and mobile pay as you go broadband. 2820 was created by williamf
Hi,
over the past couple of months our broadband dsl at work has deteriorated to the point of uselessness. We have been told that it will be September before any improvement will be made.
I am wondering which 3 dongles or work I have just got anew ZTE mf112 £15 pcm 5gig payg. Seemed a good deal but its not supported.
Has anyone got any recommendations or a way of making this one work.
Many thanks

That modem does work, with 3.3.3 or 3.3.4 firmware, but for the router to detect it, you have to access the router's telnet interface and enter "wan modem force on".
Thankfully you only have to change that setting once and after that it'll detect the modem and work.

Voodle - nice one, was just about to bin the 3 dongle and buy something else! Your fix worked a treat.
