Several of us have attempted to get clarification on the differences. We have posted on this site that all Draytek will say is "try them out on your line to see which works best" I suspect that the modem code is written for them by a third party so they dont have any expertiese.

fair enough but they should have an idea about which code is tweaked for what circumstance, surely :)
