I have a Vodafone E172 usb modem and a Vigor3100 router.

The usb modem works fine when connected to my PC but will not connect when I plug it into the router and try to use it as a backup. My router settings are:

SIM PIN code:
Modem Initial String: APN:internet
APN Name:
Modem Dial String: ATDT*99#
PPP Username:
PPP Password:

I've tried with and without web as the username and password. Also tried pp.internet for the APN and the default.

When I pull the DSL line out of the router the light on the modem just flashes blue but will not connect.

Tried posting on the Vodafone eforum in the mobile broadband section but those helpfull guys at Vodafone have just ignored my post! Hopeing somebody on here is more helpfull
