Hello everyone, first post here .
I am trying to connect the o2 box to a 2820n with a ethernet cable with the hope of using the 2820n as a wireless access point for laptops and a htcp.

If the o2 box works fine by itself then all you really have to do is plug the LAN port of the O2 box into WAN2 on the draytek.
From the Draytek network log on to the Draytek GUI and look at WAN -> General Setup and change WAN1 to enable NO and WAN2 to enable Yes. Make sue the WAN2 Physical type is set to Ethernet.
Next go to WAN -> Internet Access -> WAN2
Make sure its on "Enable" and that on the right hand side it says "Obtain and IP address Automatically".
That should be enough to get it working correctly. If it goes into a silly reboot loop or does not work as expected unplug WAN2 and check the LAN IP ranges of both routers. If they are on the same IP range, for example 192.168.0.x, then you need to change one. On the Draytek LAN -> General Setup. Change the IP address to 192.168.10.1 and on the right hand side make sure the Start IP range is on the same network, i.e. 192.168.10.10 and the gateway is the same as you set for the IP address, i.e 192.168.10.1.
Should work fine......
