Port forwarding on 2820vn was created by youngros
Previously the router was used via adsl and port forwarding ran successfully via WAN1 now due to a change the first router is a Thomson Gateway 784 and the Draytek is now plugged into the WAN2 on a dhcp setting. This all works fine except I can't get the port forwarding to work, I'm presuming the Thomson may be stopping this, but not sure. A bit new to all this as the Draytek has always done the job without any hassle.

Hope someone can point me in the right directions. Thanks in advance.

Yes as you say if the Thomson is the "modem" then it either needs to be in some bridging mode so that the Draytek WAN2 can control it or you leave it as it is and setup DMZ / Port Forwarding on the Thomson to the Draytay WAN2 IP.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I am going to go the route of using the DMZ on the thomson and assigning the WAN address of the Draytek which is 192.168.1.71 to the DMZ to allow all traffic through to the draytek. I have read that I need to set the IP address on the router as static, but I don't see how to do that. advice appreciated thanks.
