Draytek 2820 - load balancing was created by unrealone1
Hi all,

I have 2 BT lines with a different ISP on each.

I have a Draytek 2820 router which works fine on the first BT line, I want to configure the 2nd bt line so I have a fall over should the first ISP broadband go down etc.

Do I need another modem? How do I need to configure the draytek2820?

Hi,

Well, yes you need a second modem, if you have another BT Line ( Like you do with the first line.. I guess )

If you want to use the WAN2 as a fail over
-> WAN -> General Setup and tick : WAN2 -> WAN1 failed

I forgot to say :

If you want to use both Internet :

Concerning the Load balancing, nothing to do. This is done automatically.
If you need to specify an outgoing line, you need to go to : WAN -> Load balancing policy..
Otherwise, nothing to do use your both Internet access
