Hi

I have a snom and an XLite working as extensions off a hosted service. These work fine on conventional ADSL however I am tryhing to get them to work via a 2820n using a 3 dongle.

Web etc all works fine but neither sip client will register which sounds like a firewall issue.

Please can anyone advise how to overcome this?

Many thanks

James

If it's going through NAT, which it will be if your 3G connection has a 10.x address, you'll need to either use the NAT proxy for your voip service or configure a STUN server.

If you're getting a private 10.x address with a Three 3G connection, check the APN settings on the router, you need to use "3internet" to get a public IP.

tried setting the apn to be diffeent but that means the initialisation code changes and everything dies.

I'm also connecting with a vodafone dongle. same result.

Has ANYONE achieved this recently? I had it working beautifully abouyt 18 months back....
