2820 Ping Issue was created by rwaggers
We were trying to establish a VPN with a 2820 at each end and found the traffic to be really slow (a 2 second ping).

During the diagnostics we discovered that one of the routers (Draytek 1) could ping itself and other devices attached to it.

The other device (Draytek 2), however, won't ping itself or any item attached to it (although it will accept incoming pings and it’s also happy pinging an external IP address). Everything connected to this 2820 behaving normally.

I haven’t done a factory re-set yet, but I have rebooted the unit (via the control panel and a power cycle).

I’m guessing that the inability to ping internally indicates some sort of problem and that I need to sort that out before I can figure out why the VPN is so slow.

Could anyone offer any pointers?

TIA
