Hi
Just to try and balance the postings here I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone has any experience of surprisingly high uptimes on ADSL with a Draytek router?
There are various ways to ensure a stable line (sync at certain times of day, set target SNR, use a UPS etc), so just to prove it is possible my current uptime is over 1000 hours, and perfectly stable under intensive usage (down/up/VPN):
Model Name : Vigor2820n
Firmware Version : 3.3.4.1_232201
Build Date/Time : Sep 8 2010 15:39:30
ADSL Firmware Version : 232201_A Hardware: Annex A
ADSL2+(G.992.5)
SNR 4 (this fluctuates over the day/night from about 3 to 7!)
ATT 40
Sync up: 1173037 Sync down: 10130612
15000 TX CRC errors but that is over a long time and ALOT of packets!
Uptime: 1011:31:17
I make that over 42 days solid connectivity! (Also thanks to the ISP Be!) This isnt a one off either - its frequently 30+ days in sync and more likely me rebooting the router for some reason that interrupts things.
Anyone beat that?
Oh and a peak time speed test just for good measure
Download Speed: 8643 kbps (1080.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 824 kbps (103 KB/sec transfer rate)

Hi Benji,
Im just behind you
Model Name : Vigor2820n
Firmware Version : 3.3.4.1_232201
ADSL Firmware Version : 232201_A Hardware: Annex M
ADSL2+(G.992.5)
SNR 6
ATT 26
Sync up: 2165174 Sync down: 15566482
12200 TX CRC Errors
Uptime: 997:20:12
I am also with BE - This is one of the best routers out there for this price bracket. I am using multiple VPN tunnels 24hrs/day, content filtering is running and also the firewall is very highly tuned and locked down in BOTH directions and of corse plenty of gameplay with 360 and PS3 on a night, after all that config and this router is STILL very stable.
Regards
John Tankard

Nice speeds!
A week on and now with Christmas lights in full effect I am up to 1177 hours or 49 days...
The way its going I expect it will still be in sync in 2011, unless of course we see 3.3.5 officially for the UK then I might have to reboot before then!
