There are many circumstances where it would be advantageous to be able to use the 2820 (or other ADSL router) as a proxy when travelling: That is, from A.N.Other place on the Internet, use a web browser/SSL to connect to the home router (2820 in my case) then (after log-in etc. of course) redirect traffic out to the internet using the 2820 as a secure proxy server.

Can this be done?
Any chance of adding this?

If it cannot be added to the 2820, then at least offer this feature on your next ADSL router (not just the one or two higher end WAN only routers as you do now).

Just create a VPN connection to it.

VPN not always possible owing to the way some WiFi connections and visited networks are set up.... hence the request for the more universal browser/SSL approach
