2710N Ping times

I have just swaped out my netgear router with a 2710N as I have used a few 2820ns for customers. For some reason the ping times are dreadful if not time out on devices on my network. Its worse if its a wireless client. The router has the lastest firmware on any ideas?

What ping tests are you performing and which exactly are bad? LAN to WAN - LAN to LAN etc?

Problem is now resolved I had an apache server running and it was for some reason disrupting traffic to the gateway causing the router to appear to go down and high ping times occasional request timeouts
