Vigor 2600G and ADSL2

Vigor 2600G and ADSL2 was created by 2pods
Our exchange has a rfs date of next month for WBC/21N.

However is my old faithful Vigor 2600G up to it ?
I couldn't see any mention of ADSL2 on it's box, will I have to buy another router ?

No, Vigor2600 series is ADSL only, not ADSL2/2+

If you're happy to settle for ADSL speeds the 2600 works fine on ADSL2/2+
