V2600G and Vaio PCG-91111M Network Connection

V2600G and Vaio PCG-91111M Network Connection was created by sherbrooke
Have been trying to connect a Sony Vaio PCG-91111M Laptop to my Vigor 2600G without success, either by Ethernet or Wireless. The Ethernet Light on the Router shows very dimly when attached and the Laptop reports a good signal strength but will not connect.
I have done all the diagnostic check on the Laptop - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit - without any success.
Is it possible that the V2600G is not compatible with the Vaio?
Aby suggestions will be most welcome.
