I have a 2820Vn with 3.3.5.1 firmware, connected to Sky's Unlimited BB at 20Mb down, 1Mb up. When I hook up with the 2820Vn and select ADSL2+ (G.992.5), it briefly syncs at 16+Mb up and 1Mb down then drops and reinitiates. It appears that it can only get a good lock/sync with G.DMT mode and get a rock solid 1,056,000 Up and 9,440,000 Down. Any ideas how I can reclaim the additional 7Mb down I ordinarily get with the Sky's Netgear router? Would the 2830Vn make any difference, I'm assuming they use the same chipset? TIA.
