Any suggestions on where to look for a fix for a 2820n which works fine for a few days and then stops handing out new DHCP addresses?

We are seeing the same issue. A reboot cures it of course but obviously need a permanent fix.

@dubno I gave up in the end as there was no sign of a fix (apart from scheduling a nightly reboot as a workaround). I bought a BiPAC 7800 router from Billion in the end, which has been rock solid for 3 months.

The problem is probably down to the DHCP lease time.

By default the router's DHCP pool count is only set to 50 which means that it will only assign 50 dynamic IP addresses. Combine this with the fact that the DHCP leasetime is set to 3 days. If the router is being used in an area with a lot of wireless devices which come and go then this could account for the problems that you've been seeing.

There are a couple of things that you can try to get round this:

1. Up the IP pool count (found in the LAN general setup page)

2. Change the DHCP leasetime. Enter the following command via telnet:

srv dhcp leastime 28800
