After a power outage due to a thunderstorm this morning, the 2800 router went haywire - it would not do anything and the PRINTER and DSL light both flashed together pretty fast constantly. I could not factory restart either.

I was busy with other things so left it off after trying for 30 mins to cure it.

Just turned it back on now and it has booted up just fine and is working perfectly again!

Any ideas what the PRINTER and DSL flashing signifies?

I can't help with what the PRINTER and DSL flashing signifies. However, after a power cut last night, I have exactly the same problem. I've left mine overnight, and it is still doing the same thing. Like you, I cannot even do a factory reset.
I think it might be dead.
