Vigor 2930vn mail alert setup was created by joncvs
Hi
I am having trouble setting up the 'mail alert' function. The manual doesn't really explain what it does.
I just want it to email me if one of my wan's goes down, or the router has rebooted etc.
In reality I can just logon to the router, but it would be a 'nice to have' feature.
Do you need to enable the syslog aswell as the mail alert, or are they completely separate. I've setup a similar thing with my ups for mail alerts, so I know the smtp server is correct.
Regards
Jon

it used to be the case that you had to enter the SMTP server by IP not hostname

It is by ip.
Shame there isn't a 'test' button to make sure it's working!
