Upgraded a remote site yesterday. Now requiring a reboot when any significant traffic goes through.

Up all night - as soon as staff came on site at 8AM the router crashed. Now down 3 times today already. A downgrade is imminent!

NOTE: ADSL Modem Codes
For general purpose usage on UK lines, modem code 232201 is recommened
For ADSL2+ Annex M lines, the latest modem code, 2471201 is suggested
For line speeds of less than 4Mbps, on lower quality lines a modem code with more conservative paramaters, 211801 is suggested

I rolled back to 3.3.3 over the weekend and everything is working fine, no drop outs.

It's a shame that L2TP now no longer works with the iPhone / iPad.

SO SLOW.............

you say that 'For line speeds of less than 4Mbps, on lower quality lines a modem code with more conservative paramaters, 211801 is suggested'.

If I move from 232201 to 211801, what am I likely to see as a difference? faster speeds?

The reason I ask is that my previous livebox (orange free issue modem router) managed connections at 2.8Meg with running between 2 and 2.5Meg - but my Draytek 2830n will only manage to connect at 1.69Meg and delivers 1-1.25Meg of service

Any help would be much appreciated.

Steve

i have just tried modem code 2471201 with line att of 57dB and SNR of 13-15. But my sync speed still sits at just 1.8Meg.

Surely if a livebox can manage 1Meg more then something is wrong????

Also I have been told that the Draytek modem code ending in 801 will gradually improve sync speed in use....can this be true? i thought sync speed was established at each re-connection only on g.dmt?
