I have a Vigor 2800vg that is fully working and connected to my ISP and Internet. I now want to change my setup so that I use a Vigor120 connected to a linux box running ClearOS. I have lost (forgotten) my ISP password and my ISP wants to charge me to do a password reset! Is there a way to "recover" the current ISP password from the 2800vg?

I have tried a few asterisk password viewers but they just show the asterisks. I had a look at the router .cfg but it appears to be encrypted.

Has anyone found a way to do this?

Really??? Is this some very cheap ISP which makes up for it on 'extras' ?

There's no way to do it; like you say, it's not a readable field.
