Hi,

I have been given a vigor 120 and after resetting it I can not access the web config on 192.168.1.1. I try the default settings of admin and nothing for the password but it does not work. If i try to connect to 192.168.2.1 it times out.

I need to update the firmware so I can use ipv6, is their a way to flash the updated firmware via a console/TFTP connection at all? I take it the pins on the left are an interface for doing this?

Hi, the default web page is 192.168.2.1 for the Vigor 120. Have you tried giving your PC a static IP such as 192.168.2.10 with 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask then trying to access 192.168.2.1 in your browser?

The pins on the left aren't for the general public. The firmware is ordinarily updated through the web with ease.

Regards, Neal

I, too have the same issue. I am using the Vigor 120 in front of an Apple Airport Extreme. The set up works, however the PPoE connection randomly (but regularly) disconnects with the Apple losing routing and saying it cannot connect to the PPoE server.

It has been suggested that this could do with the firmware version in the Vigor so I tried to access the web interface.

I cannot. I tried the various suggestions of 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.2.1 and I also using a network scan utility and this could not "find" the Vigor despite it being plugged into the Ethernet port of the MacBook.

I need to solve this as I want to check and if necessary upload the latest firmware.

I have tried the suggested way of resetting the vigor, and was disappointed not to see all LEDs flash or something to confirm that the factory reset had happened. I held a pin in the hole, and applied power holding the pin in for at least 20 seconds. Nothing appeared to happen other other that the power and ACT leds flashing continuously.

Any ideas anyone?

Chris

So have you put a network cable directly between the 120 and your computer? Set your computer LAN ip as, say, 192.168.2.123 with a 255.255.255.0 subnet
Now can you see the 120 at webpage http://192.168.2.1 ?
