I was wondering if there is any way to script resolving of certain hostnames to their ipadres.
e.g. myhostname.dyndns.org resolves to ip adress x
I would like to script updating an ip-object that has this ip adress and run this script once ever hour...
Is this possible?
The goal would be a simple extra security layer that only allows connection from know dynamic hosts...
For example acces to port x only if you have the ipadress of myhostname.dyndns.org.
