Trunk between 2 x g2240 switches

Trunk between 2 x g2240 switches was created by bruceh
I want to increase the throughput between 2 x g2240 switches.

Port 1 <-> port 1
port 2 <-> port 2

I have tried static trunking which doesn't seem to work.
also tried LACP which seems to work intermittently.

Help?
