Hi,

I recently purchased a TP-LINK TL-WA701ND Access Point to extend the wireless range of my Vigor 2820Vn.

I tried to setup the AP using "Unversal Repeater" mode and the unit can search and find the Vigor Wireless network - and appears to connect ok. Using my trusty iphone I can now see a strong wireless signal for my Wireless network - but cannot seem to access YouTube and poll for emails etc.

I'm still running firmware version 3.3.2.1_232201 on the 2820. I noticed there have been some updates since this build.

Wondered if anyone had any success using this pairing of kit? Otherwise I fear a few more hours of tweaking may be necessary ;-)

I tried latest firmware update 3.3.7_232201 - and still no joy getting client devices to pass requests via AP to Draytek router.

Ive done the same thing and have had success pinging ip addresses from the tp-link but cannot resolve DNS addresses? Have you had any progress with this?

Hi, I did make some progress. I tried using google's DNS address 8.8.8.8 and this worked for a while. I found the link to be unreliable and in the end sent the tp-link unit back to Amazon for a refund. Admitted defeat!
