Vigor 2820 behind Cisco 800 Series was created by jemcfee
Hi everyone,

I am trying to get a Vigor2820 setup to run VPN access to our network, but it's behind a Cisco 800 router rather than using the Vigor so not handling the WAN itself (I'm trying to replace a monowall which simply handles VPN's wrongly!)

I have disabled both Wan ports, and given the Vigor a valid network IP address, Gateway and DNS server and placed it on our network by connecting one of it's LAN ports to the network.

I cannot see the outside world though. I can ping anything on our internal LAN (192.168.92.x) but through diagnostics I cannot ping, for instance, 8.8.8.8. If I type in a host (www.yahoo.co.uk) it appears to resolve the name but still cannot ping.

Please let me know what schoolboy error I am falling foul of.

For the VPN side of things, I am setting the DHCP server to a Relay Subnet 1 but I've not got into this properly yet as until I have internet access it seems pointless!

Thanks

Jeff
