VPN via bonded link was created by jannerman
Hi,

Had a scan through and can't see this question repeated so here goes....

I have a site with a bonded connection - the bonded is supplied by two preconfigured Netgear modems - the included paperwork explains that your networked kit needs to use the "virtual router" as the default gateway.

Previously I had a Vigor 2820 at that site on a single ADSL connection. We route back to head office via a IPSec VPN.

Now, yesterday I tried to disable the WAN connections and use the Vigor as a switch.

No joy. VoIP phones worked, but there was no Internet connectivity for the PCs (I'd setup the LAN settings on the Vigor to use the virtual router DG)

I have a 2920 with dual ethernet WAN ports, not actually had time to try it out yet, but is this the way to go? I'm assuming that each modem needs to have it's own WAN port so the Vigor can manage the connections?

Or have I grasped the wrong end of the situation??!
