2850n LAN 4 Port Configuration ? was created by 21alpha
Hi
Can someone please tell me how to configure LAN 4 port as just an ethernet port for a computer rather than a WAN port? This would be greatly appreciated.
I have other devices physically connected to LAN ports 1-3 and need to use the last one but when I plug a computer, or TV, or any other ethernet device into this port I only see the green link light but the said devices cannot pickup an IP Address.

Am not a network expert by any means as you can probably work out  but I guess this port is either configured for WAN connectivity only or pre-configured for WAN connectivity that can be changed to Intranet (local) connectivity ?

Please advise

Many thanks in advance

Hi,

I also needed all 4 ports to work as LAN.

Logon.
Go to WAN: General setup:

Click on WAN 2 then at the top change 'Enable' from 'Yes' to 'No'

:D
