I have been trying to order a 2850vn for a month now and stock seems very scarce - any ideas when suppliers will have any stock and why the delay?

probably because there rubbish on adsl, my line attenuation is 34db, 2830vn is 27db, also upload speed on 2850 wont rise above 11514, on 2830vn its always higher than 12422, same goes for download, serious problem with firmware, factory firmware is the worse, with new firmware attenuation was slightly better at 29 db, but upload and download were still bad compared 2830, so ill be letting bt install there equipment for vdsl, and then im going to compare the vdsl, im going to be so gutted if vdsl is bad aswell, 300pound down the drain

Just received my 2850vn and replaced my BT OR modem and 2820vn that I had before. I have no ADSL line to report figures on but on VDSL, it seems to give better results than my previous setup (as above). However, the upload is not good. The BT OR modem was synching at 20000 with a reported max attainable slightly higher. The 2850 reports a max attainable up of approx 11500 and yet it synching currently at 16500 up. So agree with the upload being not quite right. I notice that mine was shipped with the latest version also available for download from here.
