I have been trying to replace our current Netgear setup. We have a netgear modem and VPN router for VPN going in to a 16 port switch. On our old setup the LAN nic goes to the switch and the WAN nic goes to the VPN.
When I replaced the netgear setup with the Vigor 2820Vsn and plugged the WAN nic into it the network lost the ability to access the network. I can remote desktop into the server and also map drives via the LAN ip \\192.168.0.200\data but cannot access the server via the hostname \\server\ or even ping it the WAN nic \\192.168.0.10\ . Please help, I have plugged the system to previous state and now everything is working again.
