We've been using the NAS feature on the 2820 series for some time now and access has been fairly robust in Windows. However we've recently had an uptick in Mac usage and I've been longing for more seamless integration. I'd be forever grateful if someone could support the open source netatalk protocol ( http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/ ) in addition to the current FTP and SMB protocols.

P.S. If someone feels like open sourcing the firmware I'd be happy to give it a shot and try integrating it myself!
