I have an AP 700 with a DVR connected on the local LAN (192.168.1.17)

The AP 700 is setup in Station mode for connection to a Vigor 2710Vn Router.

The Router has been setup with Fixed IP on 192.168.1.17 and NAT Open Ports 80, 6036 for the DVR.

If I connect an Ethernet cable direct beween the DVR and Router, the DVR network setup shows Connected and I get remote access to the DVR across the Internet. However, if I connect an Ethernet cable between my DVR and the AP 700, the DVR network setup then shows Unconnected and when I try remote access across the Internet, the connection fails and I get an HTTP connect Fail message.

The issue here is definately in the wireless connection between the AP 700 and Vigor 2710Vn.

Can anyone please help here?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Ian

I'm already thinking maybe the AP 700 doesn't work direct with a 2710Vn and the only option ive got is to buy another AP 700, cable it direct to the 2710Vn and establish a wireless connection between the two AP 700 using AP Bridge Point-to-Point Mode.

Your thoughts please, much appreciated.

Kind regards

Ian
