Ok, So im on BT business broadband ADSL 8meg service. I dumped their Business Hub they sent me as after time it started having problems with various things. I now have a dreytek Vigor2830. On the status page for the Internet connection it shows the ADSL status upload as 448000 and the the download as 8128000. So getting basicall 8meg down and 4 and half up right?

So what my quesion is, in the nice wee Data Flow Monitor app/funtion on the router is shows the peak speed as 2630kbps down and 257kps up. The current flow obviously changes. Why am I getting slow speed on nodes when one node is using up like 1000kbps down and 40kbps up and the rest aren't doing much.

Almost - you are syncing at 8M down and 448 ( i.e. just under half a M up
