Can i use a DrayTek 2820N for home?

OK, at home i have a Virgin Media Super hub, but connection is not the best. Wold it be better and would i be able to switch i into modem mode and then use the draytek device mentioned as wireless network?
Would it be better/stronger?

If you want to give a go:
Put the SH at modem mode(that will turn off the wifi and other features so will work only as modem)
(note after the reboot to access the SH you need to type 192.168.100.1)
Connect it to wan 2
then at wan > general set up if you dont use adsl turn off then wan 2 always on
then wan > internet access >static or dynamic ip> put optain ip automatic and enable change mtu to 1500

About wireless i think is better than the superhub because by turning antennas can get better spot to the location you need

Keep in mind the 2820 firewall throughput is 50 Mbp. That may throttle your speed.

The 2850 has a WAN2 port as well, so you could swap. But if you use the WAN2 port on the 2850, you loose a LAN port. Unlike the 2820 on which the WAN2 port is separate from the LAN ports. So if you already use the 4 LAN port on the 2820, you will have to move some cables to another switch.
