I’m trying to configure wake-on-lan. It seemed straightforward at first! All seemed set and I have the scheme worked out. However I’ve hit a barrier the IP range.
The bit I’m struggling with is the Bind IP to MAC. The router has an address in the 192.168.1. range but the PCs on the network are in the 192.168.43.1-256 range. The Vigor won’t accept this. Any thoughts about how I overcome this, please?

You can't. You can NOT use a .256 IP. It's impossible. Use up to .254, and if you need more IPs, then you need another subnet.

Ah, my typo. I meant 1-254. Sorry and thanks for the reply.

The issue is that the router has the address 192.168.1.1. When I try to make entries for the PCs on the network, with addresses in the range 192.168.43.1 ... 192.168.43.254 it gives me the message: "the IP address you entered is not in the router LAN range".

(I don't have too much experience in this type of configuration and therefpore posted the question here.)

Is there any particular reason for having them in different ranges?

If you want them all to be able to "talk" to each other you need them in the same subnet. I think you could achieve this by setting the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0 in the LAN >> General Setup page.

I would like to ask you lads whether anyone is having issue with wake on lan I have vigor 2820vn flashed with latest firmware but since I flashed new firmware wake on lan doesnt work over internet anymore and waking pc from router itself doesnt work everytime either.And I found another user having this issue
